During this December, Christmas Eve, a group of young people with sensitivity Villanueva del Río Segura, in collaboration with the Social Services of the municipality and the Parish of Our. Sra. De la Asunción was held the 2nd Solidarity Campaign food collection.
The young men visited all the houses of neighbors with the aim of collecting nonperishable food and make them available to Social Services in order to distribute them among the needy of Villanueva.
The campaign was a success, because after several days of collection by homes and businesses, they got about three hundred and fifty kilos of food (more than double the previous season) predominantly dairy and pasta or rice.
From this group of young and the City want to thank all those who have collaborated in collecting as all the neighbors who have selflessly contributed to, at this time, everyone can spend a happy Christmas as possible.
