The Minister of Development, Public Works and Planning, Manuel Campos, met with the mayor of Villanueva del Río Segura, José Luis López Ayala, to analyze highway actions at more immediate character that the regional government is planning to develop in this location.
During the meeting, the Minister Manuel Campos informed the mayor of Villanueva del Río Segura to be a series of actions to promote the upgrading, improvement and maintenance of roads in the municipality in order to improve fluency and safety vial.
"It is necessary and a priority to know the needs of the municipality to select projects and initiatives that respond to your situation from the work and effort, and enable continuous improvement of communications and traffic conditions on the roads of the town," said head of the Ministry.
During the meeting, the implementation of various projects such as the construction of the roundabout at Ajezón MUR-522, the construction of a bridge over the River Segura, towards the town of Ulea by the MU-523 was assessed, and lighting and regeneration of the Old Bridge over the ravine of Mayés
In this sense, Campos said his department has allocated 900,000 euros in recent years for the construction of a new bridge over the ravine of Mayes, located on the road between Ojós with Archena (RM-522), passing by Villanueva Segura River.
Also, the Minister recalled that the regional government allocated this year more than € 52.8 million for conservation, planning and improvement of the road network, and the promotion of road safety.
Housing equity Public Advocacy, managed by the Ministry through the Office for Social Housing Management and the initiatives to promote access to housing or accommodation to those sectors of the population with special difficulties were also analyzed population groups and specific characteristics or circumstances.
